Feedback and Improved version of cover/ad, based on feedback from peer assessment

I have used informal communication to get my feedback. I was havig a verbal skype conversation. However, I have asked the user to provide text so I can produce evidence for my feedback.

I want my digipak to represent a girl's world and mind. I have used the colours pink and purple becuase those colours are sterotypically linked to girls. I have created pink clouds to show to the audience that this album is a symbolsim of a world. Moreove,r I have got my main girl sitting down in her world to show that this is her world.

Shooting & Edting

Today is the day i have shooted my music video. Last year I've spent time after time filming on each different day. This year I wanted to approach my coursework quite differently. I have decided to shoot my music video from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. The outcome of this day was successful given that I have got all the clips I've wanted.

When it came to editing, I had a major problem with my lip syncing and I am finding it hard to resolve this issue. Howeve,r I beleive andfelt that there are other solutions. I have done some research and I have found out that directors uses this idea called a Cut away shot. This is when you fill up the empty spaces in your clip with clips. So on the 26/02/2011, I have got my main girl to come back again to re-film and I have re-filmed her singing the whole song to the end as well as singing the harmonies with her writing in her notebook. Now that I have got my cutaway shtos, I can nowcomplete my music video

Analysis of target Audience - Idols

Overall, these young ladies have ambitions and they seem independent based on their focused future career. The jobs that the following ladies have mentioned are a good pay jobs. Therefore, in my music video, the main girl and her friends will be representing females being independent so my target audience can relate to my music video. Moreover, the overall audience will get the message that female can be successful as men regardless of the patriarchal society.

Rihanna was born on the 20th February 1988. Rihanna is from Barbados but she moved to the United States at the age of sixteen to pursue a recording career. She then signed a contract with Def Jam Recordings after auditioning. Rihanna relsead her debut studio album called ‘Music of the Sun’ in 2005 which reached the top ten of the billboard 200 including her hit single ‘Pon de Replay’. Less than year, Rihanna releases a second album called ‘A Girl like Me’ in 2006. This has reached the top five of the Billboard albums chart. Rihanna then produced a third studio album called ‘Good Girl Gone Bad’ in 2007. This album was nominated for nine Grammy Awards. Her fourth studio Album called ‘Rated R’ which was released in November 2009 and has reached number 4 on the billboard 200. Now Rihanna is going to release her fifth studio album called ‘Loud’ in November 2010. Rihanna was influenced by Mariah Carey, Madonna and Janet Jackson. Rihanna music contains some strong elements of Caribbean music. Her roots is represented through her music video called ‘Rude Boy’.
